What Causes Itchy Rashes On The Legs, Fingertips, Behind Arms And Elbows?

Hi, I have developed itchy rashes on my legs back of my arms and elbows and also tops of my fingers. They start like small bumps then get bigger. I have celestone cream to stop it but when I don t use it, they come back. Just want to know what it is

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain itchy rashes over the legs,back, arms and top of fingers can occur due to causes like:

-Contact Dermatitis that is allergic reaction caused with contact of skin to certain irritants like soap, detergent, chemical cosmetics, leather, latex, poison ivy etc..

-Allergic reaction to any food or medicine.

-Hair follicle infection or Folliculitis caused by Staphylococcus bacteria..

I would therefore suggest you to consult an Allergist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Blood tests to rule out allergies like Patch test, RAST test, Food Challenge test etc and microscopic examination of the scraping from the bumps can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..

You can be advised to take anti-allergics like Levocetrizine or Benadryl, antibiotics of there is infection, application of steroid ointment, cool compresses can relieve..
