What Causes Itchy Rashes On The Wrists After Receiving A Rocephin Shot?
My 23 year old daughter recently began a two week regimen of daily rocephin injections, for the treatment of Lyme Disease. She says that the shots are very painful, and that she can feel the medication coursing through her lower back and legs. While the discomfort eventually subsides, she is experiencing rashes on her wrist and ankles, which are itchy, but disappear after two hours or so. She has advised her doctor, but he wants to continue the treatment. Everything I have read on the medication suggests that it is safe and very effective. What is your opinion?

Most probably it will be due to allergic reaction.
As of now you can take antihistamines like pheneramine for symptomatic relief.
If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.
