What Causes Itchy Rashes With Welts On The Body Post Intake Of Dexilant?
i starting taking dexilant for gallbladder attack symptoms and after a couple of days of taking it I starting getting an itchy rash with welts all over my body. it comes and goes all day long. after my skin gets itchy after a few minutes all of the rash goes away.
Thanks for writing to Health Care magic, I am Dr , Muhammad Ahmad , I have read your question closely, I understand your concern and will be helping you with your health related problem.
It sounds like an allergic reaction to something either a med you are taking or a food you are using , or anything like a cosmetic etc I would advise you to try finding the culprit involved in causing this and then avoid it. If the rash happens withing 2 hours after taking the medication then it might probably be the medication that has been causing the problem.
I would suggest you to take an anti histamine like Cetirizine 10mg daily at night for 5 days after you have found the cause of allergy.
I hope this answered your question, If you have more queries I am happy to answer you. Regards.
Dr.Muhammad Ahmad
