Hi, my husband received a vaccine for shingles yesterday and is feeling uncomfortable in the injection site today with redness, itchy and soreness. He is mildly concerned for he has never experienced a reaction from a vaccine before, but neither has he ever received Leeds ubneyk a Shingles vaccine before!
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Itchy red bumps at the injection site after taking vaccination for Shingles is a local skin allergic reaction. It can be overcome by taking antihistamine medication Tablet.Loratidine once a day for 3 to 5 days. Kindly keep the site clean and it should not get infected. Hope the information provided helps. All the best. Regards, Dr.Ashakiran.S., MBBS., MD.
