What Causes Itchy Red Bumps On The Arms While Suffering From Excessive Sweating?

I work in a warehouse with no ac. I also live in Texas where the summers are very hot. At work lately when I start to sweat and move, I get little red bumps in random places on my arms. I also itch and so does the rest of my body. Is this heat rash or could it be something else?

Hi,

As per your query you have symptoms of itchy red bumps on the arms while suffering from excessive sweating which is a common skin condition in which hair follicles become inflamed and could be due to heat rash.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you keep that area dry, wear loose clothes. You should apply a cold compress and apply soothing lotions. You should gently wash the infected skin twice a day with antibacterial soap and protect your skin from direct sunlight cover it properly. Take a diet rich in fluids. Consult a dermatologist for proper examination. The doctor may prescribe antibacterial or antifungal medicine.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
