What Causes Itchy Red Bumpy Rashes All Over The Body?
I am a 57-year-old female. I have flu like symptoms along with a rash. The rash is over my entire body but appears more on my arms and legs. The rash includes tiny red bumps that itch. The bumps go away and then new ones appear. This has lasted for about 5 days. Any ideas? I have had all of my immunizations.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itchy red bumpy rashes all over the body which seems to be due to urticariaallergic rash. It could be due to contact dermatitis as well.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to
- Take combination of oral antihistamines like Benadryl along with levocetrizine to suppress itching and allergy.
- Take diet rich in multivitamins and vitamin C.
- You should not touch or prick red bumps.
Your symptoms will resolve in 4-5 days. If symptoms keeps on persisting visit dermatologist once and get some routine blood investigation and skin patch test done.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
