I am male and I had a slight itch for while I didn t think anything of it till I saw a red rash that was in between my thighs and scrotum that smelled with some sort of like thick liquid kind of and then then I started to use baby powder and the rash disappeared but the itching and the liquid is still there but I continue to use baby powder what s wrong
Hello and welcome to HCM, An itching rash in the groin and scrotal region could be due to infection. Rash and itching are commonly seen in fungal infections. Baby powder may be providing symptomatic relief to the site, however, proper assessment and thus management are required. Avoid sexual contact till the rash is treated because the infection can transmit sexually. I suggest you to consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment and thus management.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
