Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I got a round patch about 5 months ago on my lower leg area ...and now i have about 8-9 different sizes...extremely itchy at times where i break skin and the patches are not same pigmentstion as my skin they are lighter in color and i was prescribed a hydrocortisone but it does not help at least most of my lower legs are covered with these patches now could it be eczema or psoriasis? Im trying to find a derm in my area that takes my insurance but its getting bad especially at night in bed or after i go in a pool
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, such itching patch could be due to eczema, in my opinion it can be managed with local steroid application and the best option is Mometasone cream apply this on affected part three times in day, for itching oral anti-histamine can be used and best is Tab Levocetirizine 10 mg three times in day hope this information helps.
