What Causes Itchy Skin While On Diltiazem?

Hi, I was put on diltiazem by my cardiologist after an unsuccessful cardiac ablation. I became progressively more and more itchy whilst taking the meds and after 2.5 weeks I was going crazy with itchiness. He told me to stop straight away. It s been 3 days and I m still extremely itchy, with night time being even worse. Is this because the meds are still in my system or something completely unrelated? Thanks

I really appreciate your concern, the itching symptoms could be due to hypersensitivity reaction and for that I would suggest to try oral antihistamine and best is Tab Loratadine three times in day hope this information helps.
