What Causes Itchy Soreness On Buttocks And Stinging Sensation Upon Getting Wet?

Hello, I have a really sore bum that also makes its way to my vagina, it can become quite itchy and the bum crack is really sore and stings sometimes when it gets wet. I am currently travelling in Asia so think it could be to do with that, I have also engaged in sexual activity without a condom.So was wondering if it could be an Sti infection or a fungal infection of some kind? Thank you

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itchy, sore buttocks that stings on getting wet which seems to be due to improper cleanliness of area, due to hair follicle infection by bacteria, clogging of skin pores and due to fungal infection. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to maintain cleanliness of area and keep it dry. You should apply topical antibacterial ointment mupirocin on it. Visit dermatologist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper prescription. You should get skin patch test and blood test done to find exact cause of infection. Avoid touching or pricking it. Wear loose clothes. Take oral antibiotic course as well.
