What Causes Itchy Spots On Face?

I have these spots on my face mostly around my nose and chin , they do appear on my forehead and neck sometimes arms, they get itchy , I'm 45 , I have been to dermatologist she gave me metro cream it's been about a week and maybe working had to tell , she thought maybe acne or rosecsea ,

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain itchy spots on nose and chin that at times also appears on neck, forehead and arms can be due to causes like hair follicle infection or folliculitis while can also be due to causes like allergic reaction or can be comedomes or acne..
Although can be roseca but the presentation shows more chances of above indicated conditions..
Metro cream contains Metronidazole and will help in case of bacterial infection only...
I would suggest you to consult a Dermatologist and get evaluated and he can do a clinical examination and advise investigations like microscopy of scrapings from the lesions, blood tests etc to confirm the diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..

In case of folliculitis oral and topical antibiotics + topical steroids will help..
In case of acne topical antibiotic ointments along with retinoids and cleansers like benzoyl peroxide can be advised..
For itching you can take anti allergics like Levocetrizine..
Do cool compresses and apply Calamine lotion..
