What Causes Itchy Vagina While On Antibiotics For Bartholin Cyst?

I recently went to the emergency room due to my right side from the opening of my vagina up through the right outer lip of my vagina which was swollen significantly and looked way bigger than the left side. I was diagnosed with a bartholins cyst. I think it may have turned into a bartholins access due to the pain when sitting. The er doctor prescribed me an antibiotic which I am currently taking 300 mg of clindamycin 1 tablet every 6 hours. The lump has went down some. In the last 48 horis my vagina has became very itchy where the abcess is and also itchy on the inside of my labia. I am currently 19 weeks pregnant. I m on these antibiotics for ten days and has been day 5 of taking the 10 day dose. Is this a normal reaction or sign that the abcess/cyst is in the process of healing ? Or is it a sign of something more serious in nature going on with me?

Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to a yeast infection.

It can probably develop from the use of antibiotics.

I suggest using Miconazole cream for local treatment.

I also suggest using Fluconazole.
