What Causes Itchy White Bumps On The Wrist Despite Using Hydrocortisone?

The area where I wear my watch has been itching profusely! Then it developed a few white bumps. My doctor said to put hydrocortisone cream on it, which doesn t always work. I try not to scratch them, but it itches something terrible! I switched watches thinking maybe I have developed an allergy, but more have popped up so I ruled that out. Ideas or suggestions?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

At a very first moment, you developed allergy to watch. As you've been scratching, it ended up as folliculitis (infection of hair follicles with those white heads). Hydrocortisone cream won't help much. Please apply triple antibiotic ointment for at least 5 to 7 days, and see the difference.

You can write me back if you have any other concern.

Wish fast recovery.
