What Causes Itchy Yellow Blisters On Feet Upon Using Nailpaints?

When I paint my toenails I start to get violent itching on my feet and then these yellow blisters start to surface. They are tiny clusters of little blisters inside of big blisters and I get them all over all my toes. They weep and are violently itchy. The weeping blisters last about 2 weeks, then they stop itching and start to peel thick, reddish skin. Do you know what this is?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to a fungal infection. I suggest using an anti-fungal cream for local application such as Clotrimazole cream. I also suggest to avoid painting your nails and use cotton socks.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
