This pain in my ear when i yawn or swallow but not as bad when I swallow. What should I do
Hi.. Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC.. I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns.. As per your complain it seems that pain in your jaw while swallowing and yawning is due to some disturbance related to the functions of the joint hole analso be due to Eustachian tube dysfunction..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Surgeon and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigation like PANORAMIC x ray can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
In case if it is related to jaw joint then you will be advised painkillers like Ibuprofen and muscle relaxant like Chlorzoxasone.. Physiotherapy and mouth guards can also be advised.. Avoid hard foods and excessive mouth opening..
In case of jaw joint is alright then an ENT expert has to be consulted and Otoscopy, x ray and Audiometry can be done to rule out the cause and treatment can be done accordingly..
Hope this information helps.. Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
