What Causes Jaw Pain While Having Tonsillitis?

Hi, I am pretty sure I have tonsil stones, I have tried to remove them myself. It worked a bit, however, now I have major left ear and jaw pain. To the point where I can not open or close my mouth fully. It also hurts to eat and my throat feels irritated but my ear and jaw is in the most pain

Hi welcome to the health care magic.

Don't try removing any stone like suspected thing from tonsil by your own..

You can have here acute tonsillitis and because of inflammation there might be difficult mouth opening ..
You should get checked your posterior pharynx examination by otorhinolaryngologist and if inflammation found severe than you will be prescribed short term prednisolone steroid course ...

Your work up also done with ASO titre or throat swab examination..
If needed antibiotic course can be prescribed

For few days take lots of water
Avoid excess spicy foods ..
Salt water gargles (with warm water)done three times a day

Take care

Hope your query solved

For examination consult nearby otorhinolaryngologist
