What Causes Joint Ache Along With Dizziness And Fatigue?

My 17 year old daughter has had cold symptoms off and on for about 2 1\2 weeks. Yesterday she developed joint pains and said she feels like her limbs are heavy and she has some sporadic slight dizziness. She is tired. She has not had a fever or any rashes. I was going to wait until tomorrow and if she has those symptoms take her to Q care. Should I take her somewhere tonight to be checked or do u think its OK to wait until tomorrow?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

In my opinion, no need for urgency. You can definitely wait for tonight and take her to hospital tomorrow. All her symptoms are commonly seen with viral infection like cold and flu. No specific treatment is available. Maintaining good hydration, steam inhalation and warm water gargles 5-6 times a day, taking multivitamin tablets are needed for speedy recovery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
