What Causes Joint Pain And Chronic Inflammation After An Anterior Cervical Discectomy?

I have joint pain in all of my joints, I have chronic inflammation - some of which started only after having an Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion, I have Interstitial Cystitis, and Irritable Bowl (I go sometimes 10 times a day or more - not liquid - formed). I have osteoarthritis, severe GERD, Fatigue, and COPD. Sometimes it appears that I have a rashlike puffiness on my cheeks and nose. I have been tested for Lupus, MS, and Rheumatoid Arthritis (all negative)... I am tired of going to doctors and having them tell me there s nothing wrong. I am in mild-moderate discomfort/pain daily. What can it possibly be??? Any ideas at all would be appreciated. I am a nurse, and there is too much information on-line... Directs me towards multiple possibilities. Do you have suggestions for lab tests to be run????

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You have history of OA, GERD, COPD, Fatigue, IBS, Cystitis. Joint pain is due to OA, you should manage stress, do regular exercises, maintain healthy weight & take anti inflammatory food(nuts, fruits, green leafy veggies, etc). Control your blood glucose level & blood pressure at all cost.

It does not look like a complication of anterior cervical discectomy. But you can get a follow up clinical examination done to rule out any factor that is causing you discomfort.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
