Hello,

I can understand your concern. It seems that the sour taste in the mouth is due to presence of debris, plaque and calculus causing periodontitis or pyorrhea.

I would advise you to visit a dentist for the mechanical ultrasonic cleaning of the gums called scaling. It will give relief in the pyorrhea. In addition, she can brush twice in a day, use floss and mouthwash. These methods will also give relief in the sour taste felt in the mouth. As one year has passed after chemotherapy, it is less related to the treatment and more to the condition of the gums.

For joint pains, she should visit a physician or orthopedic surgeon for consultation and investigations.

I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish your mother feels better soon.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
