What Causes Joint Pain And Swelling In The Knees After A Knee Surgery?

I had a left knee replacement in July, initially did well but having problems with joint pain, swelling, fatigue and weakness. I have tested positive for ANA and Anti DNA and I am to see a rheumatologist next week. I am wondering if an allergic response to the implanted joint could be responsible for maybe a false positive ANA, etc. I do have a history of Hashimoto Thyroiditis which is controlled with use of Levothyroxine daily for suppression

hello,
it is possible however unlikely that you should suddenly develop inflammatory arthritis, when you previously had a mechanical issue in the knee for which you underwent the surgery.
people may test false positive for ANA if they suffer from some other autoimmune disease like hashimotos.
so it would be a good idea to repeat both tests by method called IFA.
