What Causes Joint Pain, Fatigue With Positive SSA RO And SSB LA?

My doctor told me that an ANA of 1:2560 isn t a big deal and that many people test positive and are fine. My complement rates are low and my SSA/RO AND SSB/LA are positive. I have very bad joint pain and am exhausted most of the time. What Is your opinion?

I read your question and I understand your concern.

While it's true that high ANA titer not always is related to a connective tissue disease, it is not an isolated phenomenon in your case as SSA/RO and SSB/LA are also found in connective tissue disease. Usually they are related to Sjogren's syndrome (characterized by dry eyes and dry mouth along with other connective tissue involvement signs) but also in other conditions like lupus or scleroderma. Complement can also be decreased in lupus. So coupled with your joint pain and exhaustion I think a connective tissue disease should be seriously taken into consideration.

I hope to have been of help.
