What Causes Joint Pain In The Arms?

My Mother is 101. She recently started having severe joint pain in both arms when she wakes up in the morning. She has pacemaker and takes blood pressure medication. She is seen by a cardiologist. Could this be heart related or something else? This joint pain in her arms only happens when she first wakes up and gradually goes away.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
No I don't think this joint pain in arms is due to cardiac disease.
Her joint pain is more in morning and subsequently subside on activities.
This is characteristic feature of inflammatory arthritis.
So get done blood reports like RA factor, anti CCP antibody, ESR etc for inflammatory arthritis.
Consult rheumatologist for this.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wishing good health to your mother. Thanks.
