What Causes Joints Pain And Swollen Leg With History Of Being Positive For Typhi O & H?

Hi,I m 33 years old. about 10 days back i got Typhi O & H positive which got cured after taking medications. Since fever came I have been having body pain and joints pain. Now fever has reduced but have leg swelling. It is so much painful that I m not able to even walk. Mornings specially it is very bad, is it a ortho problem. I can feel the swelling in some part of my feet. unable to walk since 3 days now. what could be the reason

Hi.

I doubt this is an ortho problem and has more to do with typhoid itself. Make sure you are well hydrated, and try your best to go about some leg and feet exercises. Visit your doctor and check to see if you need any added medications to help reduce the swelling. Let us wait to observe any changes in your leg as your typhoid subsides, if the swelling continues then we can go ahead and consult a nephrologist (kidney specialist) and finally an orthopedician if required.
