What Causes Kaleidoscope Vision?

Three days ago in the middle of the day I was looking about 10 ahead of me at a hole in the ground. It seemed to be getting closer without me moving. Lasted about 5 minutes The last two nights I have had like a kaleidoscope vision that lasts about 5 minutes. Do you know what might be causing this?
