What Causes Kidney Dis-function In A Heart Patient?
my wife is in a hospital her kidneys is not working properly very little excreation fluid. toxions are backing up in her body as are as a result. 7 months ago had heart valve surgery overload of fluid right after. trouble breathing. went on oxgen machine. still having breathing difficult .what is the solution if any?
It is unfortunate that all most every patient with long standing cardiovascular disease land into kidney failure.
The measures like use of dialysis, in which blood is mechanically purified of accumulated waste due to kidney failure and use of diuretic medication that helps flush out retained fluid are usually employed.
Other than that breathing must be assisted with mechanical ventilation until the patient is stable and able to breathe on her own.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Ayesha Shareef, General & Family Physician
