Post operative complications of open heart surgery are chest wound infection. Some also complain of chest pain and& breathlessness. This is caused by bacteria or virus developing in your phlegm. After a heart surgery, it may be difficult to take deep breaths or cough, so phlegm builds up in your lungs. It can complicate to pulmonary edema if neglected. It can be treated, get treated at the earliest.
Some patients do complain of reduced kidney function after open heart surgery. You are suggested to get clinically assessed for it by your treating surgeon or urologist. You may need treatment or dialysis.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
