What Causes Knee Pain After 14 Days Of Surgery To Repair Meniscus?
I just had knee surgery to repair my meniscus(both sides) 14 days ago, but 3 days ago my knee gave out while standing and now the pain on the inside of my knee is becoming more intense and it feels like my knee cap needs to pop but can t. Every time I try to walk I feel as if my knee is going to buckle
* As during initial healing phase, tissues are trying to realign after certain procedures, a definite amount of joint mobility restriction, pain during movements with spasm and popping sensation are a normal part of recovery.
* Additional intake of anti-inflammatory medications, ice or heat pad application and assisted physiotherapy are best tools to handle an intermittent way along with internal healing process.
However your ortho surgeon is best person to answer further queries if at all there is internal inflammation or infection sort of stuffs present needing added arrangements in this chapter.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
