Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a knee replacement 2 years ago. Post surgical complications were DVT in poplitial vein, cellulitis and MRSA in my nose. I have poor ROM in r knee. Now my left knee is giving way on me and I almost fall on the floor when I do try to walk. I can only walk a few feet at a time t any given time. What do u suggest?
Which you operated is it the right knee? Which knee did you get cellulitis or deep vein thrombosis? Possibilities of you may develop osteoarthritis of the left knee or muscle weakness of left knee.
Sensory neuropathy or stroke or posterior column degeneration may present like this. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.
Take care while walking use supporters while walking. use limb elevation, cold and warm compression.
If symptoms do not improve please consult your orthopedician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
