Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
When I cross my right knee over my left knee and then go to uncross I feel a sharp pain, front of knee, like a tendon is pinched? if I hold my knee when uncrossing it helps. Never had any type of knee or joint pain. It does not hurt when walking or standing.
When crossing the legs, it is possible that stretched knee ligaments press on a nerve by pinching it temporarily. This is not necessarily a cause for concern, especially in the absence pain when walking or standing. It is best to avoid crossing your legs as this impedes blood circulation.
Wishing you all the best.
