Hi,I am Raju.A.T (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello,I fell on the concrete on my left knee, about 2 weeks ago.now it hurts to bend it backwards,I was walking a bit funny right after,I seem to walk ok now,but the bending part,is a little weird.I didn t want to waste any doctors time if it would just heal on its own..
The knee pain while bending leg with history of injury indicates possible muscle spasm or ligament sprain underlying. Guidance for better recovery: - Local application of heating pad - Use application of analgesic spray or ointment with Diclofenac, linseed oil or capsaicin - Analgesic and anti inflammatory medicines such as Diclofenac, Etoricoxib or ibuprofen after meals if no history of drug sensitivity preferably with antacids - Avoid excess weight bearing over particular leg
Consult your primary care for discussing need of any x-ray or further line of management.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
