General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The knee pain while bending leg with history of injury indicates possible muscle spasm or ligament sprain underlying. Guidance for better recovery:
- Local application of heating pad
- Use application of analgesic spray or ointment with Diclofenac, linseed oil or capsaicin
- Analgesic and anti inflammatory medicines such as Diclofenac, Etoricoxib or ibuprofen after meals if no history of drug sensitivity preferably with antacids
- Avoid excess weight bearing over particular leg

Consult your primary care for discussing need of any x-ray or further line of management.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
