General Surgeon 's  Response
Respected Sir, hi I evaluated your query and concern.
As there is tenderness and golf ball size knot, there is definite evidence of underlying pathology ranging from cellulitis to infected cystic lesion.
I recommend to immediately visit your family doctor and get clinical examination for the diagnosis and proper management.
Till then you can keep your leg elevated over 2-3 pillows, apply ice over the affected part 3-4 times a day and can take analgesic tablets for pain relief.
Thanks for using Health care Magic and reading my answer.
Regards,
Wishing you a fast and speedy recovery from the same.
Take care, Bye Dear.
