What Causes Knot On Foot And Dark/swollen Vein?

Hi .. I hit the top of my foot on the bottom of a drawer .. Now there is a knot on the top of my foot where I hit it .. The vein on the top of my foot from the knot towards my big toe is swollen up .. As is the vein from the knot coming up my leg about 4 .. All of the veins are dark in color .. Is this serious ?? The knot on top of my foot is soft when pushed on .. Thanks

The knot or swelling in question, on the top of your foot is due to bruising of veins and formation of haematoma (collection of blood). While lying on bed keep your leg elevated with some support.Wear crepe bandage.It will disappear.
