Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
About a week ago I went to my Dr. who diagnosed viral gastroenteritis. I put myself, at first, on the BRAT diet and did okay with that. However, I still have to watch what I eat and am having distress down in my intestines with bloating. I have no fever, but still don t have much of an appetite. Is this normal?
yes this can be normal after gastroenteritis. You should not worry too much and give it a few more days to fully recover. Start with light foods such as soup or bananas. I see a lot of patients like you and most of them are fine after 1-2 weeks usually. Hope this is helping you , if you have any clarificatons you can get back to me, if this was helpful please kindly rate my answer. Best regards
