General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Contrave is not used for high BP. Contrave contains a combination of and antidepressant (bupropion) and an opioid antagonist (naltrexone) which works by decreasing appetite, to curb hunger and food cravings and hence prescribed in the treatment of obesity along with diet and exercise. Based on your history you seem to be responding to this treatment.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
