What Causes Lack Of Fetal Cardiac Activity During 7th Week Of Pregnancy?
hello i just had a ultra sound done on Friday and i was measuring 7 weeks 2 days but they could not find a heart beat could this be a miscarriage?? also i went for a previous u/s 2 weeks earlier and they couldn't even find the embryo but did this time and also since then my yolk sac double in size everything else looked OK they said just no heartbeat found could there still be hope that in a week we find the heart beat is this common??
I have gone through your question and I understand your concern.Usually the fetal heart beat is detected around 6 weeks on trans vaginal ultrasound and around 7 weeks in transabdominal ultrasound. It maybe possible that the fetus is still in the early phases of development.
If I was your treating physician I would recommend a repeat ultrasound scan next week to follow up the progress.
I hope this answers your query. Please feel free to contact HCM again if you have any concerns. Wishing you good health.
