Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Absence of fetal heartbeat at 7 weeks of pregnancy is suggestive of a blighted ovum. Blood clotting and spotting are suggestive of initiation of the process of abortion.

I suggest you consult your gynecologist at the earliest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
