What Causes Lack Of Orgasm On Masturbation Post Diagnosis For Anxiety Neurosis?

I have been taking Paxidep CR 12.5 mg for over 3 years. Recently i have cut it down to taking it once every alternate day. I am feeling better with my anxiety neurosis. The most i am disturbed with it that prior to having diagnosed with anxiety neurosis, i used to feel pleasure after masturbation, which i do not at all now a days, which leaves me with frustration and a very uneasy felling throughout afterwards. Please it will be very kind of you if you could help me out with it, as i have turned 29 and my parents want me to get married as early as possible

Hello,

Paxidep is prescribed to treat depression and anxiety related problems. It should not be taken for a very long period of time as it has side effects. You are experiencing sexual side effects of taking Paxidep for such a long period of time. Let your treating doctor know the details of the symptoms that is affecting your life. Paxidep when taken for a long time can cause decreased sexual drive, lack of orgasm, delayed ejaculation, and erectile dysfunction may also be seen.

You need to taper the medicine you are taking after the instruction of your treating doctor. You may have withdrawal symptoms, get connected to a detox center. Depression and antidepressants cause low libido and orgasmic problems. Try to come out of depression naturally. Get connected to a physical therapist, do exercises and walking.

Try relaxing techniques, join group therapy, massage therapy, aroma therapy, CBT, etc. Take healthy balanced homemade food, do not skip meals. Listen to quality music, make new friends, take quality sleep. Cut on caffeine, alcohol and addictions. Stay away from anything that makes you uncomfortable.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
