What Causes Large Black Bruise At The Top Of My Groin With A Lump Underneath?

I have a large black bruise at the top of my groin. There is also a lump underneath about 2 inches long. I have not had any injury to that area. It just appeared suddenly. Is this something I should have a doctor look at? It came up about 5 days ago and is not going away.
