hi, my daughter has gotten trench foot. she is a lifeguard at an resort pool. she has big blisters and very painfull. I see these images on the web and im very concerned. it can rott her foot off?! can you advise me what to do. does she need to goto the hospital? thank you for your help. worried mother Angela
The large blisters can be related to a fungal infection. I recommend using an antifungal cream for local application. I also suggest using an anti-fungal treatment such as Fluconazole 150 mg once. I suggest to maintain a good hygiene and keep the area dry.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
