What Causes Large Spotting Of Blood Post Intake Of Utovlan?
Hi, I was due to start taking Utovlan today as it is 3 days before my next period. However, after only taking the tablets twice I noticed that I have large spotting of blood. I think its my period. Should i continue to take the medication or shall i let my period run its course? Its imperative that i am not on my period during the 3rd- 15th of September. Thank you.

Utovlan is a drug that may be used to postpone menses, very effective when started about 3 days before the day you are expecting menses.A possible and well described side effect of Utovlan is spotting.I will suggest you just continue with the drug as prescribed by your Doctor.If menses start flowing, you stop and let it flow.It may not flow if the drug is well taken as spotting is a possible effect of the drug.
