What Causes Left Hip Pain And Weakness While Walking?
Left hip pain and weakness while walking started 5-7 days ago. Feels like left leg giving out. Have always been a walker with no problems! Had MI 4 weeks ago w/ immediate stents placed (4). Age 61 w/family history of heart disease. Started on 80 mg of Lipitor 4 weeks ago. Could this be statin myopathy?

If the pain started after taking Lipitor. Yes, it seems statin myopathy. You should discuss this with your caring doctor to change therapy. Meanwhile, take Coenzyme Q10 supplement as it has shown great effects in treating muscle weakness especially in patients taking statins.
