What Causes Left-sided Abdominal Pain, Slight Cough And Metallic Taste In Mouth?

Hello, I m a 44 year old male who has been having pain in high abdominal left side. Nights tend to be worse for pain I have a slight cough and metallic taste in mouth.i am waiting blood work back form lab and will be getting an ultrasound.what are some posabilities other then pancreatic issues?

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have left-sided abdominal pain, slight cough and metallic taste in mouth. There can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case the symptoms are probably due to acid reflux . Well acid reflux is very common problem. Treatment of acid reflux depend upon taking medicine and alteration in lifestyle. You should take plenty of fluids. I would suggest you to avoid spicy and heavy meal specially at night. Eat at least one hour before going to bed, take a light walk for 15-20 mins after every meal , take antacid after every meal like gelusil. Consult gastroenterologist for proper examination and rule any any other condition like angina . Doctor may prescribe H2 blocker or proton pump inhibitor .
