Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Left Sided Body Pain And Extreme Fatigue While Having EBV?
I was diagnosed with Epstein Barr about 2 months ago they said the number were really high. Since them I have days when I cannot stay awake sometimes days in a row. I have extreme fatigue, a terrible pain on my left side under my breast, and this week I started having pain in my shoulders down to my elbow with numbness in my hand. My hip bones also hurt. I have always been very active and slim but I have gained a ton of weight and feel terrible.
The extreme fatigue and body pain indicate immune related effects over the body homeostasis. My guidelines at present: - Regular monitoring of body temperature - Analgesic as paracetamol or acetaminophen as per guidelines - Addition of tramadol hydrochloride if the pain is not relieved with above - Hydration care with more liquids intake - Balanced nutritious diet to combat the immunity status - Avoid contact sports or strenuous work - Discuss need of any further evaluation for additional facts of concern above EBV with your physician
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
