What Causes Left-sided Facial Numbness Radiating Towards Neck?
I have hearthing issues that are not relative to the health of my ear. I have numbness on the left side of my face in front of my ear going down my neck. It often feels as though my ears are plugged however my ent says my ears are healthy. Could it possibly be a an infected parotid gland?
As per your query you have symptoms of left-sided facial numbness radiating towards neck which seems to be probably due to bell's palsy i.e a condition when temporary weakness occurs on one side of face. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to do mouth stretching exercises such as blow in and bow out and go for physical therapy of facial muscles. You should consult oral physician/ neurologist for proper diagnosis and rule out condition like trigeminal neuroptahy. Doctor will examine you completely and may conduct various test to confirm diagnosis and may prescribe muscle relaxant. Doctor may also recommend physical therapy.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
