I have had a pain in my left side, either in or behind my left hip - maybe inside my lower abdomen, which began 2+ weeks ago and with that onset - I developed diarrhea daily. I have a history of diverticulitis x 4 years. No surgery for it and had by last clear colonoscopy 1 year ago last January. I am very active and have not injured myself. I am 62 and also have a history of GERD. I plan to call my Dr. Next week. What could be causing these sx. I had hoped it was a stomach virus but now too long. I started a high protein, high fiber, low carb and sugar diet 1 month ago.
