I am an 82 year old male in good health. I was involved in a minor accident some months back. I reported no injury at the time. Shortly thereafter, I had a stiff neck on the left side that would not go away. I tried all the home remedies I knew. I had two massages with no relief. I went to a chiropractor for manipulation. No relief there either. I went through a short session of physical therapy, that helped with range of motion but little else. I turned to acupuncture next, and would have some relief for a day or two, but the stiffness and pain always returned. I am now going to a different chiropractor that uses decompression methods. I never experienced any neck pain before the accident, but have been plagued with neck pain ever since. I ve had x-rays and a cat scan. Can an auto accident bring on Degenerative Spondylosis? The insurance company says its simply old age.
