What Causes Left Sided Rib Pain That Radiates To The Back?
Left side pain under rib cage off and on radating to back sometimes with extreme abdominal fullness and heaviness. Have been eating antacids like crazy with slight shortness of breath. I am a 49 yo woman who smokes (but haven t even been able to do that comfortably). Possible swollen spleen or heart attack?

The abdominal fullness&heaviness (absence of short breath, palpitation or high blood pressure)along with pain in left side of rib radiating to back is more in favour of splenic inflammation. Consult a gastroenterologist.
