What Causes Left-sided Tenderness On Neck Under Jaw Bone?
I was tender to the touch on the left side of my neck under my jaw bone starting 2-3 days ago. Today I felt a burning sensation and soreness / pain in the back of my head also on the left side where my skull and neck meet. I felt back there to feel where the burning and soreness was and felt swelling and or a lump like maybe a little smaller than a Ping pong ball. Could the 2 be related? And what might this be?
Hi greetings to you! Read your query. Going by your history of duration of pain and swelling the cause could be from a dental or gum infection,(which is more common) as a result of which your neck glands have swollen up and pain radiating to ur skull and neck of the affected side. Do consult a dentist for a checkup n meanwhile till your appointment do warm saline oral rinse and avoid taking too hot or cold substances. Hope i answered your query. Thanks for choosing HCM. I would be happy to answer you in case of more doubts. Take care. Regards, Dr.Ramprasad
