What Causes Left-sided Throbbing Pain In Head And Pressure Feeling?

Hey there a few days ago I started to get a strange throbbing and stabbing pain on the left side of my head. I am certain it s not a headache and it feels like there is constant pressure but only slightly. Today I woke up and noticed I have no more pain in the left side of my head but the pressure feeling has moved to the back if my head, it has not effected any other part of body other than my head I also have a few seconds of light headedness but these are not common. The pressure feeling has also made my head feel slightly heavy, I do plan on seeing my gp thanks.

Hi,

Throbbing headache changed over to heavy headedness, shifting from left side of head to the back of skull and so on can be due to the following reasons:
- Sinusitis on the left side
- Hypertension
- Intracranial space occupying lesions called as SOL
- Vascular
- Pinched nerves

You are already consulting your GP and clinical evaluation can help to get the primary cause. Further investigations like CT scan of head and sinuses can help confirming the diagnosis. Once a proper diagnosis is made then a specific treatment will help you to get cured.
