Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have mid back pain on my left side that has now become tender to the touch. It started out hurting only when touched, but now it s a constant dull pain that s tender when touched. If it s rubbed or pushed on the pain is intense and stops me in my tracks. I ve checked signs for the kidney, gall bladder and pancreas, but no symptoms match. Could it possibly just be a pulled muscle?
Hi, Thanks for your question. I do understand your pain and discomfort. As per your history is concerned please follow step wise :- 1)Do a full blood count with differential to ruled out filariasis ,if normal proceed next 2)Do an X-ray of [sacroiliac joints] to ruled out [Spondyloarthropathies],if any changes found then go for MRI 3)Check all physical signs relates to musculo skeletal & neurological in detail. 4)Do ECG & ECHO to ruled out TAA 5)If everything normal then go for Back Strain
